Racetrack doubleheaders in a day....what have you done?!?!

This will be my last thread starter till next week but I was sitting at bar in Racebook tonite and I overheard the drunk guy preaching to the bartender what "doubleheaders" he pulled in a day....got me thinking what did some of you guys do....I'm assuming since simulcast wasn't around 20+ Years ago so u had to be on track to gamble.....wanna hear your but there's mine...

Freehold to meadowlands
Freehold to Yonkers
Yonkers to meadowlads..(left after Yonkers 9th)
Freehold to Atlantic city racecouse
Freehold to Monmouth
Aqueduct to Yonkers
Flamboro harness(outside toronto)to woodbine harness
Woodbine flats to mohawk harness
Freehold to Pocono downs
Saratoga flats to Saratoga harness
Philly park to meadowlands harness

Totally blew a chance at a Arlington to maywood DH while in chicago...

I think that's about it....it's looks bad but I'm sure some of you guys may have that tripled....

I've heard stories of triple headers but I never did that but may try one day....There is really no reason to do that now....

Lets here your lists.....!!!!!

Those were the days

Boy are we old
Drove from Toronto to Fort Erie for the flats and back
to Toronto for the jugheads at Greenwood. It was July/August
i believe when they ran at the Fort. The summer breeze coming
in from Lake Ontario and the lights of Toronto in the background
made that summer meet at Greenwood great.
I didnt do it often but the Fort was a great treat.

Pimlico (Preakness Day) to Charles Town. Quite an eye opener watching live the difference between Preakness horses and 2500 claimers at CT in the same day.

I paid a friend to drive me from Santa Anita to the airport (probably Burbank) so I could fly to Vegas. I had to pay him because he thought it was a bad idea. I have no memory of the trip but I am confident he was correct.

In the late 90's, I had a quadruple header once. I was a medical laser equipment field tech for NY/NJ area and my travels ended up taking me to these 4 tracks (I went into each track after my work was completed in each area).

1st track was Monmouth, then to Aqueduct, then to Yonkers and finally driving home on the NJ Turnpike stopped at my 4th track, the Meadowlands for last race. It was a long day, but had about $200 profit. The funny thing is I tried to get to Freehold after Monmouth, but dispatch sent me to Yonkers area. It would've been 5 tracks in one day since i would spend a little less time at each to make all five.

I've had doubleheaders several times with a combo of Monmouth/Big M/Freehold.

There used to be a shuttle from either Aqu or Bel called the "Meadowlands Express"..
Hell, after a full day of racing I am done. I could not do a double dip.

Ahh..Good old Roosevelt. Great place. Unusual tote board which I thought all tracks should do.
Instead of showing pool totals on each entry, it showed probable W-P-S payoffs. Neat!

It was located on the outskirts of Toronto on the shore of Lake Ontario..It closed in 1993.
The lists in this thread contain many tracks that have since been closed.
Brandywine, Liberty Bell, Roosevelt to name a few.
