Maybe that is why there was no TV show today - cable problems somewhere.

I'm going over today's replays and they look awful. Hopefully whatever the problem was it can be fixed.

There's no head on's either on the replays.

Ugh.

Opening day is always a tuff day for the graphics teams......may not have had access to all the cameras or maybe they left one at the A

was wondering if somebody could comment on what goes on behind the scenes if the tv crew and graphics crew on opening days....is everytimg just transported from Belmont to aqueduct or do they have there own equipment at both track which I doubt....

And when is nyra gonna get hd for there feeds....pretty sad Charlestown has hd on there inhouse televisions

By the way I like nyras graphics better then any other circuits better....although I think keenelands camera angles are the best

I wondered if someone would comment, they had no odds on horses during the races either. It was a bad picture on RTN also, could be opening day technical problems.

The post parade I complained to Andy about it 2 years ago, this is the way they do it at Belmont.

The website and scratches are not up this morning either, so opening weekend technical problems there too.

How many of you contacted them with your concerns about the way the post parade is being presented?
I sent in a brief note regarding the Post Parade. Not expecting anything, but who knows?

For those experiencing Technical issues, or simulcast issues, - You may as well notify them.
Pretty sure they are aware and working on it, as Belmont is one of the best meets around. (Have you seen today's card? GOOD betting card).

PA is right, we should take advantage of the resources to voice any issues that lower our satisfaction.

It should be a given by now, but anyway....

Keeneland broadcasts in High Def. NYRA does not.

now can you see the difference?

I was watching a keeneland replay last night and said to myself "wow, that's a lot clearer than the NYRA feed".

Maybe this is why.

I'm guessing Belmont has recently switched to hd cameras, however, Roberts is retransmitting the hd signal in standard definition and that is why there is a different look/feel to the signal. I have found it to be clearer the last two days, using TwinSpires, than it was in the past. Keeneland, on the other hand is recorded and transmitted in hd on TwinSpires and is a really nice signal.

We don't have any of these problems in Illinois.

It's pretty obvious NYRA is now using HD cameras...unless you're at the track or viewing on some channel capable of HD, you're getting the downconverted signal, thus the slightly distorted look...

They should have some way of repairing the distortion for non hd feeds, looking at compressed horses is quite annoying. It's not all that subtle.

It seems all tracks that go HD end up looking something like that when viewed in a downconverted signal. I remember Keeneland looking like that...and I think Yonkers...although I have a hard time believing Yonkers has an HD signal, but I guess they do...lol

I was at Belmont today and even the in house feeds were a little grainy.
