Question about purse distribution in R1 at Pim

Field scratched down to only two runners. Do they split the $$ for 3rd 4th etc or does the track keep that $$ ?
Thanks

purse ditribution in short field

unless it's been changed:

normal purse percentage presented to horses which actually ran. the total amount of the remaining purse is presented to the race winner.

Correction: The purse distribution format in Maryland, except in stakes, is 57%-21%-11%-6%-3%-2% to the top six finishers (except that in addition to the above amounts, they award the losing jockey mount fee + $10 to 7th or worse, or at least they used to; this is/was mentioned in their condition books). The winner of this race, Prime Time Man, indeed received 57% of the $25,000 purse, $14,250; the second-place finisher, Feel Proud, however received $6,825 - $5,250 (21% of $25,000) plus $1,575 (30% of $5,250) from the Maryland Bred Fund (Feel Proud having been bred in Maryland while Prime Time Man is a Kentucky-bred). The remainder of the $25,000 purse - $5,500 - reverted to the association, as they say (some tracks increase their shares to the horses that did run, often resulting in a 70-30 split in a 2-horse field, 60-25-15 or sometimes 64-24-12 in a 3-horse field, etc., thus still giving out the entire purse).
