I have no idea what they were. You think maybe that is the reason for the sudden departure? Maybe someone with more knowledge of the site can chime in with some insight.

I bought the reports twice. I think it cost like $4 per day.

I heard about the site here. Do a search and see what you can find

There are a lot of small sites out there selling "reports" using data from bris or hdw or whomever...ultimately they are all re-selling data from Equibase in the end, and if you read the Terms of Use on Equibase, all these sites selling "reports" or whatever are really in violation - if they aren't authorized re-sellers, and most if not all of these small timers are NOT authorized re-sellers, then they are at risk.

Eventually, they're gonna get stomped...maybe that's what happened to keypony...a cease and desist order was sent most likely...but that's just speculation on my part...maybe the owner just got tired and decided to stop, but I doubt it.

Yep, exactly. This is why I wrote a program that generated reports form data you had to buy from an authorized seller of the data. I had the stuff written to use DRF Formulator, BRIS, or TSN (now defunct). If you want to make custom reports, this is the way to go.

The big publishers caved in on a massive copyright/ownership claim to racing data a few decades ago, was in California if I remember right. Too bad the small publisher at that time sold out (for big money, solid case). Always waiting for the next company to get funded and challenge the non-competitive monopoly on race results coming from state licensed and operated horse racing facilities, they are public record (minus the derived speed figures and custom factors, etc, which are in fact possible works produced by the company. The timings, conditions, and the rest all public record)

One can guess pretty quickly why some of these smaller outfits might just up and quit all of a sudden...it's pretty easy when you think about it for two seconds.
Heres a sample of the reports they offered they were around a long time
