Welcome Back! Joel Rosario Returns To A Positive ROI in PP's
Funny, I had just noted this morning that his ROI had dropped to an uncharacteristicly low -.01 for every $2.00 wagered on his mounts in the last year (approx.). He was listed in today's PP's as having had 1,066 mounts during that time, so I guess if you would have wagered $2 to win on each of his rides you would have been down somewhere in the neighborhood of $10.66. No worries, with that nice little $165.20 winner it's back to the positive ROI! Without doing the math, I am guessing his ROI will pop back to about .15 now!
Amazing! Congrats, to Joel "Just About As Good As A Rebate" Rosario on a job well done!
Best of Luck Everyone!

10th race longshot
The way to pick this longshot was to look at the following facts.
- jockey good at bringing in longshots
- horse won $156k with only 8 wins so people have to realize that this horse has some back class.
- see that the horse was claimed 3 times in row is always a good sign of a good horse
-breeding is great as the grandfather is Mr Prospector and grandmother is the great Personel Ensign who defeated Winning Colors in 1988 breeder's cup to finish undefeated.
-good workout feb 2-- 100.3 handily
- won the 3rd most money last year at 30k
Better luck next time

Wow,
An 8yo mare making her 50th start in a 12k claimer and you’re listing bloodlines as one of the keys to scoring?
Interesting MHM.

Just another longshot in a week full of longshots breaking up my exacta plays. What else is new?
My play on the race was the 6 over/under with the 1 & 5.

Aint no flys on the Magicman...
- add the Odds to your list.
Reminds me, Gatodelsol (?) wins the derby at nice odds and he was "like" the highest money winner "before the race".
been happening ever since.

breeding
I don't know of anybody that makes money on pedigree more than one day every other year.
I just listed this as a fact and as it could be used as a motivational tool to get up and bet this horse. Which is true just knowing this horse's pedigree and details of its earnings could motivate a person to bet this horse.
But let's face the facts that this horse was not an easy pick. But it did have some good angles

I was on it myself, the wife and I both cashed. If you cull from Pizzolla's concepts, one of them is recording win payoffs. Some track where they do well and in what condition and class, distance ect. I record what the win mutuals are for every card I play and how my software performs to all of the above. The data base is 4 years deep now with Jcapper like user defined "Tags" as I call them. I can tell you it was one of those kind of races with a high percentage prob. to be serious double digit win mutual. Just knowing that prior to the race, I also was on to the fact that the winner had to be less than 2.50 in my program for speed, and there was 5 that were less than 2.50, what else do you need when the exacta is just under the W2G border.
