Another heart breaker
I was standing at the window making my bets at the great race place, wink wink, after almost completing my exacts this guy next to me bets $150.00 across on the 7 horse in the 10th race, I look at him and the clerk evern noticed it, we both scrugged out shoulders so I put in another 5 dollar exacts 7-11 and 9-11 and walked away, well you all know who won by a c hair the 7 horse and the beat goes on. Boy do I love gambling.

Why is it another heart breaker? It came in 7-11 and doesn't your msg indicate you bet a $5 exacta 7-11

Well, I found it kind of heartbreaking that someone on this board believes that eavesdropping at the betting window is a viable strategy.

I make my own bets only but if you believe the bettor knows what he's doing then it absolutely is a viable betting strategy.

When I was 18 I went on a ridulous winning streak for about 2 weeks..collected some fairly large payouts at a small track. Well the next 2 weeks, I couldn't go to the window without the same 2 guys right behind or right beside me trying to overhear my bets. Well, the three of us had a lousy couple of weeks at the windows and they were gone.

I was looking at the possibilities of a new handicapping strategy that had the 7 and 8 in that race. I passed because I don't know how this thing is going to work out, figuring it would just be an action bet.
I've been doing pretty good on not action betting. Sheesh, the one time I wish I'd have gone for the action -- the horse paid $106 to win.

Perhaps, but in this case, the piggybacker had no idea who this person was.
