Amazing they got there AFTER the 3rd race. If only after the 2nd race, then the Bris Past Performance would be free for those wanting to wager only on a later race.. This way Bris makes the $3.00 if you did not wager on one of the first THREE races...

Now I've been around the block a few times. And THAT is the most unusual reason given for cancelling a race program that I have encountered.

Its easy to cancel when your company wont starve because their main source of revenue is a percentage of betting handle.

Here's a clip to show you how easy it is to cancel. Horse was ok but never raced again. Jock was out 3 months. Doug Salvatore had this on twitter this morning

Just heard Indiana has already cancelled for today after some rough weather this morning. Haven't tried to confirm it, though.

Presque Isle cancelled again tonight and may cancel Tues/Wed/Thurs because of the deer problem. If you have access to head-on replays, check the replay of last night's 4th race - at .30 into the race. A deer runs across the track right in front of the horses!

A bit dry but if you marinate it venison is okay. Moose meat is definitely better but you take what you can get.

Presque Isle has cancelled today for sure. I don't know yet about tomorrow or Thursday.

My xpressbet account was credited with $151.00 late Monday. I believe Preque Isle ended up paying the Pick 6 for June 28th. I originally was given a refund for my wager, which had the 1st 3 winners of the sequence. I don't see a carryover listed any longer. I guess they had to pay it out because of the time change. This might have constituted an ending to a meet. Anyone know the ruling?

Also, no simulcasting, so don't head over to play other tracks. 30,000 customers in area without water.
