Where is Thaskalos?

Anybody know? He hasn't posted in over a month.
Hopefully he's too busy cashing tickets.

If I remember right there was some bickering going on over a month ago...he may have been a little disgusted cause he started a thread attempting to clarify what kind of discussions (tone) we all wanted here on the threads..

..I don't know if that is why he hasn't posted in a while but that was what was going on when he lost touch....

...Things have been much more civil lately I have noticed..I admit I was part of the problem too...wish he would come back...sure do miss him...

...maybe admin could e-mail him or something....

Last time we spoke he said he was moving. Could be keeping him busy.

thaskalos was a breath of fresh air and did not have his head in the clouds as far as the practice of approaching handicapping of races. i always paid close attention to what he had to say.
hope he is okay, and is a loss to this forum's value for me anyway.

He's fine. I spoke to him last week. He's taking a break from the forum and putting energy into other things.

I too am glad to hear that Thaskalos is doing okay, but it leads me to another question. I have been contemplating my own mortality quite a bit over the last two weeks due to a medical condition that is being addressed (4-way bypass). Eventually, we will reach the end. So my question is, how does one die on the Internet? It seems that unless we had a significant other who was willing to contact whatever sites we have joined to close them down, that we just live on in perpetuity. These are things that one may ponder when they have too much time on their hands as I have during the past couple of weeks.

I hope that not only Thask, but everybody is doing well.

As long as we have SRU recycling 10 year old threads, no one will ever really die.

All the best.
60 years ago you'd be floundering.
I had relatives then who just couldn't be helped then from heart conditions.
Today's Modern Medicine has made wonderful advances.
You should be fine, but let us know how it went.

I am in a similar situation Kingfin - having to face the prospect of my own mortality. it's a difficult thing to put out of one's mind.
Please stay strong and positive
I will keep you in my prayers brother
