2024 Foal crop expected to decline again

I have two questions. The crop is supposed to be 18,000, how many of those 18,000 will make it to the track and what is the breaking point if the numbers continue to decline as far as track closures go. If the total hits 15,000 will that be enough to have a few go under if the horses run the same number of times a year as they do now. If anyone knows the answers I would greatly appreciate it.

Pretty soon it's going to be such a small crop that we will have threads here about betting all the horses in the foal crop.

I don't have the figure but I imagine it's the same % more or less whether the overall crop is 25,000 or 18,000.
