I watched it live. The horse just fell out of the screen. I rewound the DVR and it took me about 7 replays to finally see it (the announcer called it, yet I didn’t see it). I suspect that you’re not seeing anything that’s been edited, but instead how it really looked live. The horse just went down that fast.

This has been going on for a long time. They edit the replays to remove injuries. It is pretty much industry wide at this point.

I have seen many replays with horses going down and were left uncut in the past

I'm sure its more edited now because of California.....

Watching the head-on, right after the camera switch you can see Traumarama stumble or half jump over something and then you can see the Yes I'm Evil lift her head up right before that section of the track leaves the screen.

I don't have a problem with them editing the replays. I'm thinking about the HBO Real Sports show they did awhile back in which showed a 20-minute clip of horses breaking down. Some of that footage was real old and they didn't bother putting dates on them.

As long as the tracks truthfully report their "accidents" and drug use to the Jockey Club's Equine Injury Database. What's more disturbing is that not all tracks who "signed up" to the database are accurately reporting so as not to make themselves look bad(according to a statement that the Jockey Club made awhile back). Apparently there have been some whistleblowers.

This is getting stranger by the moment......

Your saying you can see the spill.....

On the Twinspires Head-On Replay....there is NOTHING!!
between the 1:00 & 1:02 min mark , the 7 disappeared
They edit the whole incident out...

Where are you getting your replays from? I'm confused

lets go beyond this....

suppose there was a DQ....jockey suspension.....insurance claim....

How do they deal with tainted evidence...?

or is just the public not going to see the truth....

If there was a DQ, or claim of fould, it would happen long before they edited the tape.

That said, I am sure they still have the Master and only release the edited version.

I'm looking at the Twinspires replays. In the full view the fall happens as they go behind the bushes at 1:07-1:08. If you look very closely at the ground at 1:08-1:09 you can see Yes I'm Evil as a dark form on the ground. She is clear at 1:09 right above the "com" in the banner between full field and close-up on the leaders. Unless they digitally added extra bushes I don't think they edited her out of this view.

The head-on is a slightly different story. The view shifts from the outside camera looking toward the infield to the infield camera looking out at exactly the point where the fall occurs. The shift goes from a camera that would have caught it all to a camera that didn't have a good view. Still, even with that, at 1:00 you can barely see her face next to that of the , and that's when she falls. Her body is visible if you look very closely up until 1:03 when the camera pans enough that she's off the screen.

She's still there, but the camera angles minimize what you can see.

I found it, circled him and the rider here:

I didn't think this one was edited because there is no interruption in the call as you usually get. Only if they started to crop things out of video instead of just deleting that segment of the race was this one altered, but it wasn't. It certainly does happen fast!

CJ....thxs

Watched the whole video....

The 3 was easy seeing the head on start

But the 7 was never shown during the inquiry...

Its funny, I makes bets early in the day and watched later on...I bet the 7 and went nuts not knowing what happened....

OK...thats it....CD gets a weak pass on this one...

Editing replays could be a slippery slope ..........

How about editing a photo finish?
