Moral of the story...don't carry balances on credit cards. For starters.

I learned the hard way...in my youth...

I should FINALLY be free of any and all credit card balances in the next year or two...after wising up...finally...

Personal responsibility goes a long way to avoiding getting suckered.

Virtually all my life, however, I have used credit cards as charge cards, and I only use them at all because I'm too lazy to do the extra time-consuming "bookeeping" that would be necessary if I were to go the debit card route only. Plus I get cash back on all my cards, which annually adds up to a pretty nifty sum.

But my advice to anyone who struggles using credit cards is to trash them all! Getting involved with banks is like getting in bed with the devil!

I became debt free in 2006. I felt like a freed slave from the banksters.

It's a good feeling, but I confess it made me a bit lazy not working for the Man.
