Moral of the story...don't carry balances on credit cards. For starters.

I learned the hard way...in my youth...

I should FINALLY be free of any and all credit card balances in the next year or two...after wising up...finally...

Personal responsibility goes a long way to avoiding getting suckered.

To say the vast majority of financial institutions are sleazy is still to understate the seemingly plumbless depth to their wickedness, which consist primarily of greed and love for money -- this latter being the root of all manner of evil! I'm ashamed to admit it but I have several credit cards, two of them being Citi. Virtually all my life, however, I have used credit cards as charge cards, and I only use them at all because I'm too lazy to do the extra time-consuming "bookeeping" that would be necessary if I were to go the debit card route only. Plus I get cash back on all my cards, which annually adds up to a pretty nifty sum.

But my advice to anyone who struggles using credit cards is to trash them all! Getting involved with banks is like getting in bed with the devil!

I became debt free in 2006. I felt like a freed slave from the banksters.


It's a good feeling, but I confess it made me a bit lazy not working for the Man.
