I doubt Baffert lets that horse just lope on the lead in the classic, I am sure with More Spirit and Cupid in the race there will be real pace pressure.

Yeah there will most likely be more pace in the Classic. Even if it does not materialize it does not matter. They let Chrome lope on the lead and ran him down. Gun Runner is a nice horse but he's not Chrome. I mean Arrogate spotted Gun Runner 15 lengths in Dubai and strolled right by him.

The was second best to a pretty damn good horse in Gun Runner.
No one had a chance after they gifted him the lead, but he did run approx a 23.6-23.6-23.5 first three quarters...not many horses will keep up with that clip and run away like he did
