I understand the background and history...I was a big Godzilla fan when I was a kid.
It just seems ridiculous today. And I'm not saying that just because I's alls grows up.

When Godzilla first came out, I got in to see the movies for $.50. Now I get a senior discount.

I was quite disappointed by the last one I saw (the one with Bryan Cranston who was in it for like 5 seconds...lol)

That was 2014 Godzilla, and didn't do much for me either. 2019 Godzilla: King of the Monsters and 2017 Kong: Skull Island are much more fun and lead into this new one.
This one has quite a sci-fi bent to it, as well.

I just checked ticket prices in my local area.
After the senior discount... Godzilla vs. Kong on a Thursday night at 8:15 pm will set you back about $17.00.
Such a deal, right?

I saw it on discount Tuesday with a small popcorn and small drink for $13. I was the only one in the showing with a recliner chair 
The computer generated stuff was nice and I am not sure if I have seen the previous versions. This was a stand alone movie as far as I am concerned.
