Here comes Dave the White Knight. Hero to women.
You act as if controlling your libido is like holding in your piss for a few extra minutes.
Being attracted to other women gives you daily urges the same as for a cigarette smoker. Being married for 40 years means you turn down dozens if not hundreds of opportunities and never cave once.
Women really are like drugs in some ways and can be just as damaging to your life.

I quit my job in my late 50s while she continued to work. That is part of the reason I did not cheat on her. I had and have it good. If I was the breadwinner, probably would've been a different story. Go figure.

Wow.
I once heard a pimp, much younger than you, express a similar viewpoint.
You're faithful to her because she puts bread on the table, but when that stops...
Heaven help that poor lady if she becomes ill and can no longer work.
Sorry, MDC - You are a "user of people."
Her value to you is based on what she can do for you, not on just appreciating her for how she is.
I feel sorry for the two of you. FACT.

I think her job was just the tiebreaker. I was really close to cheating multiple times. It's different for men than it is for women.
How many have you been married to the same woman for more than 10 years and still get your rocks off to her? How many here close their eyes and visualize someone else when they're in the sack?
You guys love to point fingers at the bad guy.

Inspirational
So I've been considering getting a tattoo right after the lockdown is over. I want to get it to surprise my wife for our 50th anniversary later this summer. It's going to be a large W on each butt cheek. So when I bend over, it says
. . . W O W

What's the closest you came to cheating? Kissy-Face?
What's the hottest milf that flirted with you? Any 10's?

The Cheater in Chief
Some cheaters have really excelled in their personal lives (so to speak),
receiving little backlash for their actions from their hypocritical admirers.

This isn't a very juicy story ,but..
There was a secretary where I worked who became friends with my wife and myself. We both thought she was a nice person. One day at work , it was around Valentine's day , she asked me if I'd like some of those candies with flirty sayings on them, Valentine Hearts, I think they called them. She put one in my hand, it said "I love you "on it. Then she handed me a second one saying "don't tell anyone". She was waiting for me to say something, but I was flustered and didn't respond. I made sure not to be alone with her at any time from then on. I later discovered that she had been carrying on with another man there. His wife found out about it and caused a ruckus in the building confronting the secretary and her husband. I probably would have caught something from her.

Got nothing to show for it, very few stories, just minor flirting.
That they were willing to flirt with a guy who wore red coveralls for 25 years who worked at a rink for minimum wage tells you how bad their marriage must have been.
I never pulled the trigger and to this day do not know if I made the right move or not, but I think I did. Like betting a 20-1 horse who then loses by a hair... it was probably the right call but still leaves you unsatisfied.

I always thought that, if ever a "cheat-on-the-wife" thread appeared on this board...its creator would never be a guy IN HIS 60's! But then again...what do I know?
