I met my wife while we were acting in community theater way back in 1982. Some of the best times of my life were whilst on a stage...

That is awesome, Jimmy. Damn awesome.
I've lifted for most of my adult life, only breaks were when I bet for a living for five years, and then a health issue when I was 55ish for about three months. I never lifted heavy after quitting football, worried about joint health , but was consistent and healthy.... Dude, you get my respect. I know the commitment it takes to do what you've done, I tip my hat.

Supporting community theatres is great entertainment and enjoyable. We have three particular local theatres here we go to.
Since we're being serious, I take my wife on a Daytrip once every other month. Just get in the car on a Saturday morning and explore a predetermined town. My wife LOVES these. I make the plans, she just gets in the car and likes the surprise of the destination.
So far this year we've been to Granbury,, Georgetown, Gonzales, and our annual trip to Nacogdoches (all over east Tx that day). McKinney town square is a good destination but it's just up the road from us. Can't count that as a Daytrip but we go twice a year. Cool place.
Spring and Fall festivals here are cool to go to, we never miss them in May and October.
Very lucky to live in an area with a lot to do, and cool places to visit ithin a four hour drive

Thanks for the well wishes to my wife. We had to cancel the trip out west during the summer of '16 because she fell ill. She's going to see our youngest grandson, who's already three. I visited them last fall, but she couldn't go. I wish I'd had the guts to try the acting thing myself, kudos to you. My nephew lives in Hollywood and has been in many venues, stage, film, tv, stand-up, even some popular Burger King commercials. He's appeared with Arnold Schwargennegger on film and Robin Williams on stage. He knew what he wanted to do from a young boy, graduated from Temple Univ. with a theater degree. His big break was on the old Hunter tv show, all the relatives were glued to the tv, and literally 15 minutes before showtime, President Bush started to bomb Baghdad, so it was canceled for one week, haha.

No, DM is still a beast...
German line is awesome... Gneis and Bismarck are great. FDG was so bad I quit there...
Someday you'll have Republique though and even if you suck in her at times... you still love her.

I looked long and hard at that one because it has the longest reaching secondaries of any battleship...I think it was a little bit squishy for a brawler if I remember...

Her secondaries can only hurt DD's. Everything else they are just firestarters.
But she's sooo fast and those guns (when they hit as they can be maddening) and that reload.

I referee high school basketball. Normally, after a game we are escorted to the locker room by someone from the home team. Unfortunately, nobody showed up to escort us so we were forced to wait outside our locked dressing area. It turns out the coach of the losing team was waiting in the hall for his boys He was very close to our locker room and just took off on one of my partners (we use 3-person for all varsity games). He swore, and bitterly demeaned him. The three of us never said a word to the coach. Finally our escort showed up and let us in. I was the lead official and I explained what happened to the escort (who turned out to be the school AD). It took six months, but eventually the coach was fired.

Have you been to Caddo Lake? If not, you should plan a day trip. Plan on taking plenty of photos! Great fried catfish and all the fixings at Big Pines Lodge, right on Big Cypress Bayou.
