For the greater good of humanity?

Would you...

A)...rid the world of an EVIL...say Hitler..before he killed 6million jews ++ WW2++ 6 million other people or

B)...create or invent or discover something good...like penicillian or polio vaccine or electricity...

yep...a very tough question....one that I'm struggling w/...can give a counter arguement/discussion for either answer...

for example...answer A...there'll be always someone willing to take the place of an Evil person...or...in the case of B...the rich always benefit more than the poor...(especially now-days)...

Like you say, it's not what you do...it's HOW you do it.

If you are going to "get rid of evil" by eliminating the "monsters" who wreak havoc on their countries, and on the world in general...then do away with ALL of them -- otherwise you will be accused of having ulterior motives.

If you are going to invent a drug to rid the world of some horrible disease like cancer...then give it to whomever needs it -- regardless of economic or social standing.

That's how you serve "humanity"...

Problem is, who is determining? I mean there were people who looked up to Hitler. Obviously they didnt see him as "evil".
Personally, he got what was coming to him. But, kind of see where I am thinking?
How would we know that the person deciding wasn't the evil one?

And the answer is A

During Adolf Hitler's time in power he had scientist conducting terrible experimental projects against mankind. Biological projects looking for disease that would attack a specific race. Hitler was looking for biological payload for the Luftwaffe. Sadly this monster was not alone in this mindset.
It has been estimated that between 1933 and 1945 a total of 1,600,000 were sent to concentration work camps. Of these, over a million died of a variety of different causes. During this period around 18 million were sent to extermination camps. Of these, historians have estimated that between five and eleven million were killed.
