It's not just the last races the Belmont Stakes contenders ran in but other horses who have raced since the Preakness or whatever the last race was for the contenders. I am absolutely convinced that Brisnet uses the RR and CR to calculate the prime power ratings, but, alas, how can one really know that unless Brisnet reveals their algorithm for computing the ratings.

I know none of the Belmont horses have raced in the past two weeks, but some of the horses that the horses in the Belmont field faced previously did race between the time the preliminary PP's came out and the time the post draw PP's came out.
