Race 5 Saratoga Sunday
Just when I thought I had solid cover in my pick 5 in final leg, I see Javier Castellano jumping off what I thought was a legit single to ride Blame Jim. Can anyone explain the decision making? I know Rudy off claim is a magician, but could this be some personal issue with new connections, or am I overstating what looks to me like an odd move by JC ?
Thoughts? Maybe is the play and I reverse course?

For the life of me, I don't know how anyone plays these open claiming races like this one.
Musical chairs of juice trainers, vets and jockeys.
5 6 or 7 horses who need the lead in the race. Who knows who has what intention. Who will choke a need the leader and allow another presser to lead.
Impossible race.
I punched all for this leg of the pick 5.
Good luck to both of you.

Not that it matters, unless you had the in the third race.

EMD nailed it.
I forgot rule #1 - avoid all claiming races at NYRA. No exceptions
Got that crap out of my system for another year.

I singled the 1 in race 1.
I went all in race 5.
I had the 9 in race 2.
I had the 6 in race 3 (the one that knocked out the country). I crushed that horse last time and Camacho shot his horse's energy reserves into a full forced check. Of course I'd play him back. Hit that exacta and super.
Had 1 and 11 in race 4 for the pick 5 score.
Joel totally played and undressed the pants off Javier and Junior at the 7/8, costing me the PICK 5.
The next time anyone tells me Javier can ride, I can't complete the rest of the sentence as I will be BANNED.
Joel tucked back at the 7/8's and made Javier think. When you make stupid people think, they make stupid decisions. Javier got scared/thought incorrectly and took his horse 3 wide from the 7/8 to the 3/4 pole. Why did that matter? Because he wasted unnecessary energy and lost his ability to uncoil in the latter part of the race.
I MISS RAMON
It's ok. I didn't need a piece of that $386,000 pick 5.

One of those ultra rare times you could have bought every race and STILL won. Would have cost $44,800 to buy every race for a buck, making you $148,000+ in profit.
