Saratoga Opening Day
How about everyones "early" picks of the day and longshot of the day.
Pick of the day can be Exotic single, most likely winner... Anything you want it to be.
Pick of the day- Race 2, Big Brownie " this one could end up being a price"
Longshot Play- Race 9, Vivid Colors
I have a ton of horses I like at prices.

Big Brownie is 10-1 morning line. I also think Borels mount might be live in the second.
Vivid Colors is 12-1, I also think the other Mcpeek might be ok at 6-1.
Anyone going to throw a few horses out ?

I watched Big Brownie after first race. I will bet him again Wednesday and hopefully he does something. If not I am done with him.
Featur race I like Hot Dixie Chick if spped is good.
Very fast horse on rail and should get to the lead.
Start the year off with a 7-8-10 exacta box

I never forget what steve christ recommended for the BC betting , that instead of playing p3,4 try the doubles. Just printed out the pps and with such full fields, the spreading of plays might just eat up a lot of bankroll pretty quickly with a couple of tickets. Now to work.

Saratoga Russell
I like Saratoga Russell in the 8th especially if I can get anywhere near his m/l price of 12-1 which I doubt. Should go better 2d start off shelf.

The 8th is a hard read for me.
The Jerkens feels like a trap. I kind of like the Harty. He has big numbers syn/dirt.

FREEDOM RINGS in the 2nd looks like the most likely winner of the day.
A couple longshots I like are GOLD TRIPPI in the 3rd and DEPUTYVILLE in the 6th.
I just hope the rain holds off and races stay on the turf. Check my link below for opening day selections.

in the 3rd@Saratoga Wednesday, I'm part-wheeling #6,Finallymadeit with #5,Riley Tucker in tris, & boxing 'em in an exacta. Trainer change to Ritvo on madeit, Best Beyers on Riley; against PYRO & Honour Devil; will toss in Silver Addition & Gold Trippi underneath in super part-wheels.

RUSSELL MAKES IT TO THE SPA
KNOW THE HORSE WELL. WAS ONE OF MY DBY. FUTURE BETS. HE HAS NEVER LEARNED TO RELAX. HE IS IN THE BRIDLE FROM THE GET GO. THE RACE LOOKS TO ME LIKE AN INSANE SPEED DUEL . HE WILL HAVE MANY FRIENDS UP FRONT. I FEEL THE RACE WILL FALL APART. I WILL USE IN DBL & P3S 3,6,9. ALL WHO I FEEL CAN RATE. AND MAKE AN EX BOX. RUSSELL WAS DEAD FIT BEFORE THE COMEBACK AT MTH. HE HAD MANY WORKOUTS, AND IF HE CAN'T WIN AT SPEED FAVORING MTH. ?????? ITS THE BEST OPENING DAY CARD IN MANY YEARS. GOOD LUCK!

here are my 3 tips for the saratoga meet. bet all steeplejumpers that PADDY YOUNG rides. stay away from all 2 yo's that came out of the OBS 2 yo in training sales, in saratoga or anywhere else in this large world. bet all 2 yo's maidens that trainer SETH BENZYL puts out.

Freedom Rings is ok, but she might be a hanger.
There are also at least 2 live longshots in that race.

I'm considering using the Dutrow/Dominguez horse in there. He will be a bomb and has some backclass. He also has a few nice runs over the track.

Seth's stats say otherwise.
