i'd love to have a futures bet on this horse that just broke his maiden at Oaklawn today, TENFOLD. he looked like an improving monster that started his career around 2 turns.

Lucky he didn't hit the inner rail. Very nice turn of foot the last 1/8!!!!

i thought he was going to bang himself on the rail also.
i got the story on him, he wasn't keeping his weight on so they didn't force into training and waited it out. except for coming close to the rail, he did everything right and the rider did a great job with him.
history does not bode well for him because there aren't to many horses that started at 3 that have won the Kentucky Derby. with the job that this trainer does i would not be that surprised if the horse bucks history!

That is called the curse of Apollo. Like every other statistically based "you can't win the Derby if", it will be broken eventually. We have already had several Derby winners with abbreviated 2 year old campaigns win.

that running line from the Fairgrounds just looks odd.
race slowing down after average race to the pace call and then a 12 point increase to final time. You dont see that often.

It is pretty rare, but with so many routes on the card don't think anything was amiss.

yea I am just trying to assess the race and ability of the runners. It may be that the top two are pretty good and ran very nice races with a clean setup. Makes me maybe forgive Instilled Regard a bit more.
