Handicapping, Spot Plays, Software, etc
.
Speed Demons--just getting the final spot plays in order now. All that's left is for me to write up instructions and get it up on the website.
A well-known software author and vendor has been doing some research and testing...here is the comment he just sent:
"Thanks Greg, been using it in conjunction with the Mike Pizzola Valuecapping software, as a confirmation of certain spot plays from Valuecapper, very powerful so far, will keep you updated"
Very nice...I think most will be quite pleased
Maybe a week to 10 days and we'll be good to go

Belmont Today
Thank you Mike
This is the Trainer Angle Report from Speed Demons for Belmont. Trackmaster sells these same angles for $5 or $10 a day...for 1 track.
.

Also 3 spot plays from Belmont today:
7th BAY STORM 3-1
8TH EASY TO BLESS 3-1
9TH PROPENSITY 9/2
Good luck

Nice stuff there .....
Is it possible to ADD a column on how many wins the trainer had with that angle...????
This will add strength to each of those angles...

OZ ROCKS
*I'll check with Steve on that, Mike...and see if we can get the Trainer's wins added to the Trainer Report.
We are fortunate enough to have Simon, better known here as Ozyank-to contribute his handicapping expertise to Pace-View.
I gotta tell ya--This guy is a real pro. His spot-play "AUSSIE OUTBACK" is killer. He wins because he tirelessly works at winning. I know he's solid, so today is the first day I even bothered to check his method. It's already coded into Speed Demons, so today I had 4 tracks of data files, and here were the results:
GPX 4TH AWESOME VIEW $4.40
BEL 7TH BAY STORM 2ND
KEE 8TH CENTER AISLE $7.40
SA 1ST DEL MAR DRAMA 3RD
CTX 1ST BLUE COLLAR BOY $13.00
CTX 7TH SLINGIN SAMMY B $3.00
I entered a CTX head-to-head contest at Horse Tourneys...I usually do fairly well there, but tonight I couldn't catch much of anything. The first race I used Simon's Blue Collar Boy--I think that was all I hit for the night. But it was enough for the win!
I owe you a beer, Simon 🍺

phishing trip
This is actually comical , the lengths these @$$holes go to rip people off. I don't know how they make it appear it was sent from my own email address--and don't care enough to find out.
..and no, I've never owned a webcam nor microphone
*at least they invested in SPELL-CHECK now

Improved Trainer Reports
At MikeSal's (ooops GarageBurns) suggestion-added Trainer Starts and Win % to the report.
As soon as I looked at this--that Chad Brown entry stood out:
43% wins, over 100 races, solidly profitable. That is astounding considering Chad is usually hopelessly overbet.
Gabby Squared $6.00 $3.40 $2.60

Greg.....
I would expand on that Aussie guy and his work in Pace-View
As for the Trainer Report , the Post Position bothers me and looks kinda off..
Maybe delete that and spell out RACE# ....PRGM # .....IMO

I personally don't see a problem the way it currently is, Mike. Keep in mind, everytime my programmer turns his computer on-the meter is running.
We have bigger fish to fry at the moment...but I do appreciate your comments

Heya Simon! I had no idea you were in Fla. Here in the part of Ca I live--they shut our power off until almost 6PM. Missed all the Horse Tourneys, betting, the whole enchilada. Just getting online now.
Got to do some reading, anyway. A couple handicapping methods that were fairly useless: "Pro Rated Longshots" and something else I never heard of called "Explosive Horse".
That PRL book...well, whenever a book contains useless lists of trainers, tracks, class ratings...or in this case the author lists every alleged winner, every day, all tracks (I assume)--which takes up at least half the book. This book came out in the early 70's...I can't see how, even 50 years ago--this was a winner.
This could have gone on an eight-page pamphlet, without leaving anything important out.
Anyone ever heard of "Explosive Horse"? It has to do with speed ratings, with some information (I think this info is only the author's theory). You can have all the theories you want, and find past perf's to back it up, if you look long enough. In my opinion, that is exactly what the author did here. If what he says here were true--you and I both would both know something of this method. I checked, since I had nothing but time today...now I can't get this out of my head .
We're still shoring up and fixing a couple glitches on the new program--by this weekend or next-- I hope to be writing up instructions and maybe some examples, etc.
-Or not, depending on how we do and what gets done.
We'll see.

Hi Greg! Nice to see you back here!
Is the author of “Explosive Horse” Arthur Stanley? It looks like that book is being sold at Winbetus website for $60.00 if that is the author.
And who is the author of Pro Rated Longshots? Dan Geer?
I also know that Pandy on here wrote a book called “Pace Handicapping Longshots” and that book would be a much better one that PRL lol as I have enjoyed that book very much.
