I have love for Kevin Durant, as he carries on some of the tradition of the DC-Area basketball culture.
He's almost 10 years younger/after the time I experienced, but it is still evident in his style of play.
I haven't seen it recently, and things have changed in DC and the surrounding areas, and the culture has changed (instead of masses of young men with NBA dreams crowded at the big reputation courts, you have the prospects in AAU type leagues, and the others on their cell phones or social media stuff).
Len Bias, Steve Francis, Allen Iverson, and many more...
Baltimore dominated during the Dunbar era (with the greatest HS team ever relative to era)
and then DC-Area had a big run.
----------------------------------------------------------
blah blah blah
Anyway Achilles injury of Durant is still a significant concern
Harden harbors some ego of wanting to show Durant that he was actually the alpha in the making from back in the OKC days, and he's undisciplined, but he's a wizard on the court and can manipulate the rules/refs/defenders at will...
Kyrie needs to buck up...
this team could be a Champion or something like the 76ers have been lately
