That $18,000 plus in taxes comes to about $51 a day. For that $51 a day, I get to send my kids to school for 12 years. I get fire and police protection. I get roads that take me almost anywhere in the country. I get airports I can fly into and out of. I get an Army, a Navy, an Air Force, a Marine Corps and a Coast Guard to keep me safe from enemies foreign and domestic-at least in theory.
I also get regulatory bodies which keep my air and water clean; my job safe and my finances secure. Unless of course, Trump is President. Then I’m screwed.
Then, after I retire, I get almost $51 a day back until I die in Social Security benefits.

When the American colonists revolted against the British in 1775..."No Taxation Without Representation" was the major slogan during the revolution. If ever a revolution was needed for this reason in this country, it is NOW...in my opinion.

Revolution can be easily achieved through the ballot box.
We citizens get the representation we deserve.

The voting process is rigged...IMO. Whom among the available candidates does the voter rely upon for "revolutionary change" in our upcoming election?

It was sleight of hand. The politicians get us to fight with one-another...and then rob us blind while we sit there blaming each other for our financial woes. Hey...NOW I get where you are coming from. IT IS OUR FAULT!! 
But seriously, TJ...it's a lost cause. There is no way to tell if there are any "honest" political candidates out there...and even if there ARE any "honest" ones, they too get corrupted once they enter the Congressional cesspool. It's like the priesthood. The well-meaning newcomer is set down by the "elders"...and is told that only by "toeing-the-line" can a political career become fruitful in our country today...as well as in the rest of our world. In order for things to change, a real revolution is needed, IMO. But, unfortunately, we can't be bothered right now...because, after all...the football season has just kicked off.
