Ford was the one who asked for an FBI investigation. Republicans were opposed. Ford asked that corroborating witnesses be allowed to testify under oath. Republicans were opposed. It makes no sense that a person who is lying would ask for those things. It makes no sense that anyone seeking the truth would refuse to provide them.
In any case, if my memory of these events is accurate, the person is sworn in before they make their opening statement.

The question is do we want a man on the United States Supreme Court who attempted to rape a fifteen year old? And it does not matter that it was thirty five years ago or that he was only seventeen at the time. We may not be able to throw him in jail, but we can prevent him from sullying the highest court in the land.

I'll bet you voted for Clinton after the rape allegations by multiple women emerged.

You are leaving out the part about Ford not wanting to be investigated herself. One of the best prospects for dim nominee when he was on Judicial Committee. Obviously you do not understand anything . PERIOD ... PERIOD ... PERIOD

Good job, DJF!
When you can't counter someone's argument, throw an insult at the person making it instead.
Straight from the GOP Playbook.
Steve Bannon taught you well.

Can say with near-absolute-certainty you've never read any Alinsky.

Interesting: Delayjf just accused you of voting for Clinton, even after the rape allegations by multiple women emerged; an accusation that you, apparently, feel was an insult and is, assumingly, not true. You must feel that your stellar character was impugned, as well. What a shame!
Well now, why not save face and prove to us that you didn't vote for that dirty-old-man, Clinton. In fact, I think it would behoove you to hire a private investigator just so that we can be sure that there is nothing even more sinister in your past; otherwise, I have no choice but to believe your accuser.
So tell us, Burls, did you vote for Clinton? Yes? No? If no, PROVE IT!

You didn't answer delayjf's direct question. Do you intend to answer, or whine and deflect?

And if he is innocent, which I highly doubt, what are you afraid of.

FBI investigation is just another delay tactic. They can't find anything on a rather FLIMSY case (or cases, depending on who you talk to) over 30 years old...and the press is already doing their job for them by hunting everyone they can down and trying to get them on the record.
So what, exactly, do you think would happen if the FBI got involved, other than more delays which is exactly what you and the Dems want.
