Longshot Track
In appriciation of your answers, I made a small donation to PACE ADVANTAGE...
Can you guys tell me (with data if possible) what is the LEAST form-full track? I mean which track has the largest standard deviation for winners. Please take into account field size which will always produce the largest payouts. So, I guess, assuming everybody has the same field size, which track has the most Longshots?
Thank you all, I really enjoy the banter.

IF you’re looking for a longshot track, one that is coming off my head would be Remington Park. Avg win price is pretty good.

Without any data to back up my opinion...my vote unquestionably goes to Oaklawn Park. I encounter more surprise winners there than at anyplace else. My runner-up choice is the Gulfstream Park turf course.

Turfway has to be up there too if you can stomach synthetic tracks.

Tampa Bay Downs.......seems like every card has at least one monster bomb.
Woodbine.........as long as the turf courses are in use.
Turfway........if the fields are full, the boxcars roll.

I'd recommend playing opening week on any circuit that doesn't run year round. Fairmount is always ridiculous when it opens

Check out Brisnet “at a glance” reports.
It will give the average odds of the winners and percentage of favorites winning.
At December 9th Turfway park winners average 5.68 to 1.
Then you can compare to other tracks to determine “longshot” tracks.

In reality, they all are. Just finding them is the problem.

They always open in early August and close mid-December with the Springboard Mile card closing out the season. It is now a Derby points race. They run quarter horses during the spring, maybe into early summer but not much more if so.

Very full fields so far, AE's in almost all of them. A couple of $90 winners last night.
