The Soviet Union used to fear the CNC of the USA - that he would ride in on his big white horse and take care of business if they crossed the line.
*sigh*

Absolutely nothing, we have a rank amateur who can only cost us in more ways than one. Not being the police of the world is the first step, telling the united nations in New York no thanks is the second.

I see no signs he is going to do anything. Go to the united nations is trick that the US uses under many presidents to get support when we are going to use military force someplace. That is not an option here because Russia has veto power in the security council. GWB did it when he invade Iraq. It may have picked up some token soldiers to help in the attack, but probably not many. If only GWB had Obama's restraint we would be lot better off today.

I do not see how, you really think we would have spent on butter programs instead during that time? Saddam Hussein was the zit on everyone's ass at the time, Kuwait was but only a small reason to nop that SOB out.

Perhaps others will be able to find what I can't: Ronny Graham as Mr. Dirt on Johnny Carson's singing folk songs from Moldavia.
Closest I come is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SySNk...yer_detailpage . Go to 2:35 to see Mel and Ronny performing together.

How about all the US soldiers that were killed and wounded? Are we better off better off with them dead and wounded ? So the Iraqi war has cost us over 2 trillion with total cost of over 6 Trillion when the ongoing veteran benefits and ongoing medical expenses are done. (We are still paying for medical benefits for WWII vets) Are we better off without that money? How much better off are we with al-Maliki than Hussein? The way things are playing out al-Maliki is almost Hussein's equal in killing people plus he is a lot more pro Iranian that he is pro Americans. At least Hussein hated the Iranians.
Even a very good argument could be made that we would have been better off if we had gone to war with Iran instead Iraq. What you do think? Is rid of the radical Islamic government in Iran and Hussein in power in Iraq better than what we have now?

It's not a question of what we WANT him to do. It's what he's going to do, that matters. He's going to bend over and grab his ankles.

Just like every other US president has done when dealing with Russians since the Russian Revolution 90+ years ago.
I can tell what Reagan would have done. He made chest beating speech and blew a hundred billion on some new bomber that would been obsolete before the first one flew. Reagan never bent over without it costing the taxpayer a lot of money. But he bent over just the same. Just like he did when Islamic extremists bombed the Beirut barracks in 1983. Oh, he wasted a couple bombs on some sand piles and started a new weapon system and that was it. A real tower strength there. When Gaddafi blew up an airliner full of American students over Scotland, what did he do? Bombed an aspirin factory! Another real tower of strength.

Of course he won't do anything, and I don't believe that we should either, but for different reasons than Soetoro....For me it always was, and still is, a Bolshevik problem, and we should leave it that way.. For Him tho, he is one of them and he always has been, people don't change who they are overnite.... I see it in everything the guy does...He is one of "them"...
