I'm not so sure we learn anything from the running of this race.
Epicenter and
Rocket Dawg seem to be the only two contenders.
Epicenter just has more muscle and looks more well developed. At the same time Rocket Dawg seems to have a better genetic structure. When Rocket fills out that frame... I would think he'll end up being the better horse.
There's nobody to keep Epicenter honest on the front end. Rocket Dawg will likely have to be more forwardly placed.
Waita Minute Hayes - won't be able to keep the pace honest. - toss
Surfer Dude - got turned away at a mile - toss
Kevin's Folly - sits behind Epi, Rocket and Surfer - toss
Tejano Twist - born to sprint - doesn't belong in the race - toss
Rich Strike - MC30000 - toss
My opinion: Rocket Dawg can likely be bet at 8/5

Both free... I would think Brisnet would want to give away free pps too? they need to give out past performances for free to promote the derby. Just seems like low hanging fruit that could help garner new players and expand the playing pool and thus handle.
