MJ Severino riding Promise me Fun Race 11 Pleasanton.

So, there's a HUGE Penta carryover into this race, like 170k....as well as about 300k new money bet into the race.....

Promise me Fun, the 6 horse, at 37-1, ridden by someone named MJ Severino who is 2 for 63 in 2014 takes this "longest shot in the race" and is 2 wide on turn 1 and about 3 or 4 wide on the final turn and JUST misses 5th in an extremely tight photo after standing up on the horse in the final 70 yards. If you watch the head ons, the jock is standing up much sooner than some of the other jocks.

Did 5th not matter to the bettors? This is what i'll never understand, not only eases up the mount, but rides this horse like its a 5-2 shot losing valuable ground on the turns making no attempt to save any ground whatsoever.

And, yeah, this cost me money.

Are you in this vocation for the money? I thought it was just an intellectual pursuit.

It is. But he'd like to get paid for it.

Wow , just looked at the charts, would have been a score. What was the minimum for the super hi 5 bet?

It was a 20 cent bet, the top chalks ran 1-2, it was a smallish field, i had nice tickets structured to get this guy in 5th and some savers for him to be 4th. The race layed out perfectly, i just needed this jock to function and ride the horse all the way, maybe that's why he (or she) is 2 for the year.
