He's got a great style, is easy to listen too, and now with races carded over a mile instead of say...440Y, we'll get to enjoy them a little longer.

Good 'capper as well.

To go to Indiana Downs where they race 120 days a year and have a grade 2 race? Just a guess

I have no idea what his pay is, but normally casino ownership doesn't equal pay increase.

But, more racing days should increase your pay check.

It's a racino. Eventually they will find a way to reduce the dates as drastically as they can.

I will happily answer the question. Ellis currently has 29 dates. Indiana Grand races 120 dates. Indiana Grand has multiple big days including the $500k Indiana Derby. Indiana Grand has also utilized me on TV doing some handicapping. I have also added morning line and program comments duties this season. My bosses at Ind also were very gracious in allowing me to be the fill in announcer for Larry Collmus at Churchill Downs Preakness and Belmont week.

The owners of Indiana Grand (Centaur) really do embrace horse racing. Yes, we have alternative gaming but management has added several barns, a new tote board with a jumbo tron, and a new dirt surface among other things since I got here just over a year ago!

Working for Ron Geary at Ellis Park was great. He is a hands on owner who is a horse player himself. Heck, Ron almost won the National Handicapping Championship!!! I had a great working relationship with Ron. It was a very tough phone call I had to make to Ron when I made the decision to leave Ellis for Indiana.
