Michelle Yu on HRTV
Wondered what happened to her. Was a mainstay at TVG. Wasn't she ?
Anyway, she's on HRTV this afternoon.

She was reporter/analyst on the Santa Anita house feed during their meet and obviously they must have liked her and is now on HRTV.

If I recall correctly, after she left TVG, or TVG left her (dunno which it was) she went to a sports network--Fox? ESPN?--and did field reporting during football.

I always found her to be somewhat of a goof. Always giggling.

She's improved since she went to a network that's NOT filled with clowns, a network that actually takes horseplaying seriously.

Good for her. She had a boatload of potential but was given no direction at all.

BUMP
I give Michelle credit - she has come a long way as an announcer.
Light years better than she was on TVG a few years back.
Personally, I find nothing more annoying than an announcer who stumbles and stammers and pauses constantly....that includes race callers too
Michelle is doing a nice job imo

I've seen her in the paddock at Santa Anita doing interviews, sometimes she has a Q and A session with a racing personality and lets the crowd ask questions. The one time i saw her interview a jock she was totally prepared, knew the game, asked the right questions, had all the answers from what the audience asked, she did a fantastic job. She knew more about racing than i had originally thought she did.

The head guys at TVG never did anything to help any of their employees, they have a different agenda.

She is becoming one of my favorite on air personality. Really prepared and has a great knowledge of the game. HRTV has the best talent for the horse players by far.

Michelle Yu.......
Nancy Ury.......
Christina Olivares-Blacker........
Priscilla Hojiwala.......
Once they got away from the frat boy mentality at TVG all have gone on to better things. And surprisingly they all have talent.
