What would you ask Sarge, from TVG?
We are interviewing Sarge from TVG tomorrow for our podcast. If there's anything you ever wanted to ask a horse racing analysis, let us know!

I would be curious to know what are top factors he uses when handicapping a maiden race and also a turf race.
Sarge is a very good handicapper
Thanks

for a horse coming off a layoff say 5-6 months or more or for first time starters when you see the horse working every 7-8 days and 4 or more weeks back there is a 14-20 day gap in the work pattern-how negative is that if any?

Is he serious when he says that "a short price is better than a long face"?

He heard that straight from a horse's mouth!

Ask him how being a former horse trainer influences his handicapping process.

Probably too late, but I'd have asked him if he was related to Sgt. Slaughter.

Hi guys and gals, thanks for asking my question! I will be more articulate with my next question. I knew in my mind what I was trying to say, it just didn't come out well on paper
That was a long podcast, Sarge is a good guy

Thanks Sara for asking my questions.
Enjoyed the podcast and hope to watch more.
Next time I will think of more specific handicapping questions.

i once saw him give out a $50 winner on TVG at Dover Downs. i would love to know the system he uses to come up with harness winners.
after the horse won he said "thats what i am talking about" like he knew something.

Yes it was. We have it broken into clips in case you just want to listen to a section. Sarge was a great interview and honestly could have talked to him for a lot longer. We are hoping to have him on again soon.
