Rayya
Just to throw this out there…
Any thoughts on how Rayya performance on in the Oaks can be used to gage Mendelssohn run in the Derby?

Feel like there is some real pace in that race, if she gets to the lead should make it even more interesting up front.

Yes.... And no....
Remember Rayya did not just travel in this week from Ireland like Mendy did.. If I understand, Rayya was shipped back with Baffert's string much earlier in April and spent time at Santa Anita.
Also, not sure how the 18 length win factors into Mendys exertion level versus that of Rayya's trip.
For these reasons, I don't think she is the best comparison.
Mendy did travel over this week with "Threeandfourpence" , "War Decree" and "Deauville" who will all run this weekend, so maybe those are the better horses to keep an eye on?

they took the blinkers off one of the other speed horses, hope they try to rate her(Classy Act) which could help Rayya on the lead. Still like the closers best

She ran a solid Bullet with Abel Tasman at SA a couple weeks ago. Not much would shock me in the Oaks.

If they try to rate Classy Act they should have their license revoked, its clearly her best weapon and only chance to win the race. Tough spot being inside so if they try to rate her she would be a solid candidate to finish last.

a troubled start and then rank is hard to compare with any horse that has been in more than 3 races
