I'm not a burn it all down person. I guess I am not even sure what that means. But it seems like the most outspoken Trum haters are acutally republican never-trumpers.
But just in the interest of trying to understand: If Biden wins it will be 4 years. How much are you willing to give up for that not to happen?
Let me explain.
I watched the Lincoln Project and much other stuff carefully over many months, and read interviews with every Republican who is against Trump, to figure out what they want. Becase they certainly aren't Democrats. And, they don't really want Biden.
What they seem to want:
1) not to see their previously respectable party to be given over to Qanon, Proud Boys, and what they see as conspiracy theorists and extremists.
2) a future for their party i.e. a return to more level-headed type old style Republicans (the Grand Old Party) that rational people have been voting for 200 years.
Many are staunch Republicans, "big names" who have served in previous Republican Administrations, or worked to get them elected, and who have devoted their entire careers to the GOP.
Why don't they
want Trump to *represent them*?
Some of them seem to be saying they believe Trump has destroyed Conservatism.
So I guess my question is: When this many big names, Republican names, not to mention former security and military leaders who are life-long staunch Republicans, come out against Trump, is there any grain of truth to what they are saying?
If they have no case, list for me 5 reasons why there is so much outcry, within your own party, against Trump? Because I've never seen this happen in my lifetime.
BTW, I think I asked a similar question months ago, and I believe someone honest simply said that they always vote party. And that
is something I can understand. It's like Dems I knew who would have supported Wallace if he won the nomination, because "they always vote Dem".
(I couldn't and would have had to vote the opposition if that happened).
But at least I can UNDERSTAND "I always vote party, no matter what".
So is that what it is?
I think there is danger ahead, for your party, or at least, for Trump supporters, because based on what I perceive the never-Trumpers and all the others who have come out against him *seem* to be saying, my prediction is that they will get louder and thicker, with more members,
if Trump gets re-elected. And they are going to form a "real" Republican Party that looks and acts like the version of old. And that's not going to bode well for the Trump supporters, because I believe the restored GOP will be the one that gets supported in the end.
