Immediate Impact

Was an immediate impact. 1/2 to Arrogate for Baffert.

Won for fun, never asked. Super impressive big striding filly.

As advertised.

I think there are a couple of other fillies in that race that will turn out to be pretty darn good.

Half to Arrogate, certainly plenty potential there.

I don't think she ran particularly fast, but at only 5.5f probably not that important right now.

She looked great. Despite winning with a lot with FTS, Bafferrt usually doesn't have them fully cranked. So she's probably going to be very good. But it's a little too soon to crown her champion. We'll see.

Well, Arrogate had a nice four race spell. Then the sister named Osare won an ungraded stakes at age three in 2018, ran twice this year, then was retired. So unfortunately it doesn't look like Immediate Impact is going to have a long-lasting impact. No point in getting excited about her. The fact that she has a uterus is more important than anything else.

Asked about plans for Immediate Impact, Baffert said, "That race took a little out of her, but she is doing well. We figured we'd freshen her up. Arrogate ran a huge race at Saratoga, so we're hoping she will like it there. We're looking at next year's Alabama for her return."
