Adding Melo to the Thunder's mix will lead to.....

Now if the rules were changed to allow 2 balls at a time during the game, everyone would be happy.

Maybe.

Maybe he will change. I doubt it. He's selfish (and invisible defensively) until proven otherwise. George will add value to the team; Melo won't.

You're probably right. I'm hoping Olympic Melo shows up, not Knicks Melo. In his defense he's never been surrounded by much of a team in the NBA.

Dave Malinsky always has great insights in the world of sports wagering. You won't see an article like this on Andre Roberson at ESPN.com

I found the above article a bit confusing...does it suggest that I shouldn't lay the 3 points in the Thunder/Wizards game tonight? Because this was my best bet of the night.

And, IMO...too much emphasis is placed on the Brady/Philly-D matchup...while the Foles/N.E-D matchup has been somewhat ignored. After tearing-up the Minnesota defense...what proof is there to suggest that the Patriot defense can match up against the Foles-led Eagles offense?

I think the main point of the article was this will negatively impact OKC in the post-season, and it will probably impact their season win total. A guy like Roberson is under the radar of the MSM, but is still an important piece to OKC.

I agree with you re: Foles vs the NE defense.

Looks like excellent analysis. I particularly like how he ran stats for when the other 4 starters were on the floor.
Will be interesting to see if they keep the same rotations and simply substitute next man up, or shuffle the deck.

I tuned in late, and saw a celebratory Eagles offense continuing to rack up points and yards against a 'beaten' Vikings defense.

I've seen guys like Foles or Brees look invincible while throwing for 350yds and 75% vs one team, and then come down to earth vs. another team.

Wall is out if you didn't know.

Roberson is fabulous on defense. Most that follow the sport closely are aware of him. What has changed is that on offense he was no longer standing in the corner on offense where he can't shoot. He was moving, cutting the basket, back cutting for alley oops, and hitting the boards. He was still a bit of a liability on offense (especially because he is awful at FTs) but nowhere near as bad as he had been in past years. His pluses on defense far outweighed the minuses on offense. It is a big loss for sure, especially against the top teams where his skill set was most effective, guarding star players.

I do think Presti will make some type of move soon to bolster the defense. Plugging in a rookie like Ferguson, promising as he may be, isn't going to cut it in the playoffs.

IMO...Brady is the one who will "come down to earth" this Sunday.
