possibly an improved card today
Looks like a much better card today. I haven't followed the weather and am hoping the turf races stay on.
Little bit upset that they did the incompetence again today in the 9th race. Disgusting to see. Also the third race today is unacceptable for a premiere meet. I will look at those races anyway, because once in a blue moon we still have a price in play or value on a smaller scale from a mispriced couple of contenders.
Card on the whole looks tremendous compared to yesterday after considering the off-the-turf races and the lack of value. Yesterday's first race offered a chance to guess that the three or four dirt horses in an off-the-turf race may do some running for the first time vs turf horses. I opted to not guess.
The card seemingly had but one more opportunity for value the rest of the way, when in the fourth race, Maimo (a main-track-only vs off-the-turfers), who was hammered a close 2nd-choice in doubles(and vied for doubles doubles-favoritism at one point for some combos) was oddly cold on the Win board and went off at 4/1 instead of the 3/2 that represented his apparent actual fair odds. Rest of the card was almost complete tumbleweeds.
Turf is really key @ Saratoga, and we've had some bad luck with the weather. They are turf-dependent, and when those races hold together you sometimes get about three turf races with mispriced horses, and a perhaps a dirt race with mispriced horses, for a card that makes Saratoga a great meet.

Today has to be the second most ridiculous day ever at Toga.
(First being the day they F*d up the distance like morons).
On turf, off turf, maybe later, scratch everything....
For Christ's sake - take the freaking races OFF the turf early and suck it up.
Give the players a shot.
This meet is a joke.

For those that have been betting this meet everyday, you should get an Eclipse Award, these cards with th rain, not so great. Today two races with more than 6 horses out of 10.

Yes we should!
It's a great meet. End-times Rain, incompetent/purposefully-wrong racing secretaries, incompetent stewards, at least a few sketchy odds-moves, an asleep-at-the-wheel amateurish distance glitch, et al... CAN NOT STOP Saratoga from being a great meet.
Adaptability has been tested to the extreme. It's been frustrating at times. Yet it has been an opportunity worth experiencing.

I've discovered Ellis Park.
Won't be back any time soon.

Paul and Duke Matties gave out the $20 Tagg horse as well as the Lukas winner on the Steve Byck OTB show yesterday. Helped me hit the early Pick 5. Those guys are the best.

If they show the time as it's for 1 1/16 it should be record setting.

I heard they will not have a time for it.
And also heard they have 5 times for it!
