Did you watch the race? Shared Belief was mauled by Bayern at the start, then was steadied hard midstretch first time around. Bayern should have been DQ'd, but stewards shy away from that in big races. Just like yesterday, Untapable clobbered Iotapa at the eighth poll. No inquiry, no objection, no nothing. Untapable was in no danger of losing the race, but she cost Iotapa second place. Should have come down.

I dont like either horse. I think Bayern is better and more brilliant then both of them. But Belief is much better then Chrome IMO.

Makes no difference if you slam into a horse at the start of the race?

So , I would recommend any California owner whose horse was
previously dq'd for bumping into another horse at the start
sue the CA track(s) for lost purse money as a result of
the fiasco in today's Classic.

I think Chrome is just as good as any horse if he gets his outside trip.

With that said, Bayern deserves HOTY if there's a fair vote.
