Treatment option on the NIH.gov site the White House wouldn't have to mandate

Cannabinoids Block Cellular Entry of SARS-CoV-2 and the Emerging Variants:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35007072/

Quote:
Abstract

As a complement to vaccines, small-molecule therapeutic agents are needed to treat or prevent infections by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) and its variants, which cause COVID-19. Affinity selection-mass spectrometry was used for the discovery of botanical ligands to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. Cannabinoid acids from hemp (Cannabis sativa) were found to be allosteric as well as orthosteric ligands with micromolar affinity for the spike protein. In follow-up virus neutralization assays, cannabigerolic acid and cannabidiolic acid prevented infection of human epithelial cells by a pseudovirus expressing the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and prevented entry of live SARS-CoV-2 into cells. Importantly, cannabigerolic acid and cannabidiolic acid were equally effective against the SARS-CoV-2 alpha variant B.1.1.7 and the beta variant B.1.351. Orally bioavailable and with a long history of safe human use, these cannabinoids, isolated or in hemp extracts, have the potential to prevent as well as treat infection by SARS-CoV-2.

Blast from the past. Government misinformation and scare over the swine flu in the 70s. We should have learned from that experience. Mike Wallace at his best here.

Mary Tyler Moore would have been immediately cancelled if she had pulled that kind of stunt today

Here's the same video but on YouTube....

The ads they tacked on the end for CIGARETTES back in the day (Camel and Chesterfield touting how DOCTORS say they are SAFE) is PRICELESS given the context.

A certain poster here would chime in "They're doctors! Science !!"

No, they were prostitutes for the tobacco industry. Sell outs. The medical community is still full of them

How quickly we forget, and is why history will continue to repeat itself until we repeat ourselves into oblivion.

Hitler, my neighbor

"Edgar Feuchtwanger lived for ten years opposite Hitler's, from 6 to 16, from 1929 to 1939. He lived in a bourgeois building in Munich. Hitler lived across the avenue. For ten years, he and his parents watched the rise of Nazism from the windows of the family apartment. The Feuchtwangers remained in Munich, opposite Hitler's house until the end, until 39, until the war. Yet they are the typical portrait of those whom Hitler detests and blames for all the ills of Germany: they are Jewish, well-off and influential ... In this documentary, produced in parallel, he tells the tale of his country and his family, a German family almost like any other, trapped in an era that fascism and violence fascinated."
