At last, a sensible program to fight covid!

I'm on Instacart to order as many test kits as I can find!

I’m loving Instacart. We haven’t been in a grocery store in 6 months. They get dropped right at my front door. For the price of the gas it would cost me to drive to the grocery.

Link to a page at the CDC.gov site:
https://www.cdc.gov/csels/dls/locs/2...Testing_1.html

Quote:
07/21/2021: Lab Alert: Changes to CDC RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 Testing

Audience: Individuals Performing COVID-19 Testing

Level: Laboratory Alert

After December 31, 2021, CDC will withdraw the request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel, the assay first introduced in February 2020 for detection of SARS-CoV-2 only. CDC is providing this advance notice for clinical laboratories to have adequate time to select and implement one of the many FDA-authorized alternatives.

Visit the FDA website for a list of authorized COVID-19 diagnostic methods. For a summary of the performance of FDA-authorized molecular methods with an FDA reference panel, visit this page.

In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season. Laboratories and testing sites should validate and verify their selected assay within their facility before beginning clinical testing.
I applied bold font to the above quote for emphasis.

Imo, the above bolded text suggests the original PCR tests may have lacked the ability to accurately differentiate between Covid-19 and the Flu.

Last year I recall looking at graphs on the CDC.gov site that reported deaths in the US from the Flu and deaths in the US from Covid-19 as basically mirror images of each other (not in raw numbers) but definitely in terms of the shapes of both graphs over time.

Imo, make sure any test that you buy can accurately differentiate between Covid-19 and the Flu.

Come on did you not think it odd for the past two years... there has been NO seasonal Flu. Which historically killed 10s of thousands each and every year.

I have and mentioned it a few times.

Wait... what?

You're only telling us this now?

Going to let this sink in for a bit. (But thinking I'm going to need at least a 12 pack after it does.)

Seriously though --

Is there anything, any piece of news reported by the mainstream media, anything debunked or verified by a supposed fact checker, anything said at a press conference by someone with a job in DC that people shouldn't automatically suspect as propaganda or reject as an out and out lie?

With who's currently running the country, yes I automatically suspect just about everything.
They're obviously on a crusade to cripple the country. Its in full view everywhere you look.
Yep, they're all suspects.

So your test will show positive for 12 weeks.

You only need to quarantine for 5 days now, used to be 10-14.

Meanwhile nearly everyone getting "omicron" just has the sniffles.

Meanwhile they rewrote decades old definitions of Vaccine to erase the immunity aspect, now vaccines provide "protection against severe illness and death"

Give me a break.

Oh don't forget the artificial hospital nursing shortages. 30 seconds later CNN ran a segment on nurses writing letters from Santa to ICU patients. Guess that cuts into their dancing tik tok time...

If I had to venture a guess, EVERYONE IS WALKING AROUND WITH COVID RIGHT NOW.

Which press person will be the first to ask the question. If you now have a test that can tell the difference between flu and covid, that means you haven't had one all this time ?

I will share this little story so all the dimwits can say it is anecdotal. People I know had a grandmother pass away last week at 94 years old. She was in poor health and hospice came to the house everyday until she passed. These people have a net worth of zero. The day after she passed the hospice employee came back and explained that if they allowed them to add covid to her death certificate it would help everyone. Hospice would get a large check to continue their good works. The family will get 9k sent to them to cover funeral expenses. What kind of broke people would say no? Not to disparage hospice because I think they are doing God's work, but I can't imagine how many thousands of times this has probably happened .
