The Malibu
Looks like it could be Charlatan and Nashville along with Independence Hall Thousand words heading the field. Express train Collusion Illusion and Strong Constitution also possible

If the first four mentioned go,it's as good a race as you'll find.
Great wagering potential.

If everyone shows up, that will be an outstanding race.

The entire 12/26 SA card should be aces: 6 stakes, including the American Oaks, which was previously my favorite race of the entire calendar year back when it was run in July at HOL. I'm hoping for a full field there with a few viable options to beat Sharing.

Should be an outstanding race from a tactical, sporting, and previous figure perspective because opinions are all over the place.

Great race.
Thumbnail....
Collusion Illusion: Think he's going in the wrong direction.....hard pass.
Thousand Words: Despite the times, didn't like his last couple works.....pass.
Nashville: Everyone saw his last, can't knock it.....FWIW: the horses he's been beating haven't comeback to do much at all.......only one has exited his last two races to win(OPTALLW) @ CD..........carry on multi's/not as high on him as everybody else is.
Charlatan: So talented, his works are ridiculously good......just don't botch it up Mike Smith.
Express Train: The ultimate sneak play....much BTL.....have to get him on tickets somehow.
Independence Hall: Never liked him.....his route races do nothing for me......but it's a sprint Saturday.......Always thought he's a super high quality sprinter in sheep's clothing......make him the top selection.

minor concern because its a very tough spot. Doesnt feel like there is much margin for error such as a bad break, pace issue since its such a talented field.
I think the betting will be interesting.

This situation has some similarities to Serengeti Empress vs. Gamine in that everyone knew Serengeti Express was the faster speed horse. Assuming you tossed Gamine's last race around 2 turns on a day the rail did not seem ideal to begin with, you could easily conclude she was the better horse IF she had the quality to chase a faster pace and still put up her best figure (which she did).
In this case, I think most people agree that Nashville is the faster speed horse and you again have to wonder what will happen to Charlatan if he's forced to chase the faster horse. But on top of that, not everyone agrees on who has the faster final time speed figures and you have a layoff to consider on top it.
It's a fun race. The way the track is playing could have a bearing on the outcome and whether one or both come back to the field at 7F because a few of the others are not chopped liver.

Nashville is the only one among all them with no graded stakes experience
all of the others have been in G1 races
that might help his odds for anybody who likes him
ML 6/5 - I would guess he won't be odds on

3 4 are standouts and 2 will push 4 a bit early

Hope Charlatan is wearing his "human back pain patch" after 7 months off.
And/Or...that he's eating well.

Nashville, and Charlatan have shown one thing, the ability to win on the front. Duel sets up Independence Hall. Sort of think that Nashville is a hair quicker, and has the talent, but their is a big difference between 125k and G 1 horses. Should get the win price on Independence Hall and a exacta price with Nashville to make it worth a small play.

The surface is night and day from Keeneland and Nashville has no experience over it while Charlatan Does. And it's 7 furlongs and not 6. Independence Hall can pick up them up late if they go too fast early. Good luck
