This has been corrected.

Saratoga had no fractions and just a final time for Saturday's 2nd race.

Sad.....

Sad.....
At least they have Trakus and it seemed to work for that race. I gripe about having two timing systems but occasionally it helps.

HUGE discrepancy between opening 1/4 mile fraction for the Morrissey Stakes at Saratoga yesterday between Trakus and the track timer. I think I know which is right but I'll leave that for others to decide.

It is only 2016. Maybe by 2025 we'll have three of four sets of times and can guess which is right instead of only two. Hooray!

More frustrating Trakus Vs Timer at Saratoga from R6 on 7-28

Trakus: 1:37.79
Official: 1:38.64

Only 0.85 seconds, nothing to worry about.

Sad part is fractions are nearly identical, so something amiss in the last two furlongs big time.

Trakus

Check out Trakus on Sar web site. nyra.com/saratoga/racing/trakus
It is a very acurate system . Race 2 and all others are there. KEE,CD,DEL,
SA,AQU,BEL and others are using it.

Let the fun begin. Having been missing my weekly Physics classes. I personally thought Beholder lost today because of the wind resistance on her between the 1/2 mile pole and the 5/16 pole, but I could be wrong.

Apparently Ohio has the worst storms in history. Belterra Park timer has been out going on three months. Yesterday, Thistledown had no timing after the third due to heavy storms. Never once heard of this happening in 35 years following sport until this year.

Belmont July 10 - Race 8, Saratoga 7/23 race 2

There was a missing mile fraction for the 8th race at Belmont on 7/10. Unfortunately, there was a timer malfunction and no backup time available.

There was a timer malfunction for Saratoga race 2 on 7/23 that resulted in missing internal fractions.

Going forward, there will be a requirement to have a backup hand timer available to be used in these instances.

As always, even though Equibase monitors this thread, it would be appreciated if these issues are sent to feedback@equibase.com as well so they can be addressed quickly.

There is ZERO chance the 1/2 mile fraction posted for the 7th race at Indiana Grand on Tuesday is correct, but the powers that be simply refuse to put adequate measure in to catch bad times like this.

CJ, you are putting a lot work posting these bad timing jobs.
Maybe it would be easier on you if you just posted the ones that are correct every day?

Sometimes I wonder. Apathy has set in as it doesn't seem any one that can effect change gives a shit. I just do the best I can making figures and move on.
