Virginia governor (democrat)
1984 medical school year book shows him in a KKK sheet and hood, or as Black Face..... Wtf?
He's apologized. He's also not specified if he was the Robert Byrd starter kit, or the guy with Black Face in the photo.
Brings up some questions
Should this even matter since it was thirty plus years ago?
Will Pelosi and Feinstein go after the governor for a medical school year book photo like they did judge Kavanaugh from his high school days?
Will he resign if prompted by black leadership in his state?
Personally I wouldn't impeach or toss him. That was a long long time ago. But I wouldn't re elect him either. He wasn't a high schooler, he should have known better.

Considering how we deep we look into peoples lives nowadays, its pretty amazing they are just catching up to this.

He doesn't have to worry about getting re-elected any time soon.
In Virginia the Governor is not allowed to serve consecutive terms.

Money posted there's no consecutive terms to be had in VA. My guess is he's toast by February 28 but I wouldn't put good scratch on it. People do all kinds of shit trying to hold power. Poor dude, he's like a shit stain now. Good luck running a state with that in your history

An article said that Northam wouldn't comment on whether he was the one in blackface or the Klan getup.I'm not sure if it makes much difference but the blackface is probably more "survivable" politically.The Klan ,you know like ,um MURDERED people.
I'm betting he resigns by the end of the week.

Just from what I've seen the past thirty minutes I would agree. The momentum from this is going to cost him (a) any chance to effectively govern, (b) any chance to quiet the storm headed his way.
For the moment, forgetting left / right, dem, repub. This is a guy that clearly had skeletons in his closet. Should have come clean and explained the photo long ago. If the explanation would wash, fine. If not, he'd save what he and his state's party is about to suffer.
Edit,to add... If he was black face, it's not the lesser. Not when he has his arm around a guy in a sheet and hood. Equally as bad. Jmho.

Probably. It's amazing and frightening how fast people can be brought down.
Everybody has already called for his resignation so there goes your non-partisan boohoo shit in your other post.
Black leadership will have to take a number and get in line to ask him to resign at this point.
Final:
I don't think he survives a week before announcing his resignation.
