Tom, simply click the link in the original post. Should do the trick. Otherwise, just let me know & I'll try to ferret out the correct link. Sorry for the confusion.

If so, there'll be legislation passed within weeks clearing it up. There isn't anybody out there that'll want to shut down everything.

"Legal online wagering on horse racing will not be directly affected by a new U.S. government Department of Justice opinion on the Wire Act but could have an indirect impact on the willingness of banks and credit card companies to allow horseplayers to fund their advance deposit wagering accounts."

First of all. the OP title is incorrect. doesnt not effect all on line gambling just the interstate part of it (some lottery, some online casino sites) which is minuscule compared to intrastate online gambling which uses geocomply software to make sure the interstate wire act is not broken. Jersey already is compliant with the wire act so it wont affect Jersey at all.

You know the answer to this.
NO POLITICS in horse racing threads, but for those unaware, good Sheldon is a big time Republican and Trump doner....elections have consequences...
I remember when Obama was pres and the Dems had the entire Congress, and ALL THOSE FREE FLOWING ONLINE GAMBLING bills were passed that allowed us to bet on ANYTHING ANYWHERE....oh wait...
But again, no politics after MY post...

So I guess horse racing is not considered a sport or betting on it a form of gambling. Never thought I would consider that good news.
The bad news is it could still affect ADWs through the banks.

What did I do wrong? The DOJ and Adelson were mentioned in the already provided links here.
