There is around a zero percent chance that two gay men were making out in the street in front of the most expensive private catholic school in Delaware in 1961 .

The media never calls Democrats out on their absolute bullshit...

Only Orange Man and Republicans get that honor....24/7/365 coverage....

Elections definitely aren't rigged in the USA

I put a link to this story in another thread, it appears he has told this one multiple times, with of course different details. The one I saw he said it was in the 1950's, he was a HS senior, and his dad was dropping him off at city hall to apply for a life guard job. Of course he wasn't a HS senior in the 50's as he graduated in 1961. In that era gay men were considered likely pedophiles, and they showed public service announcements against hitch hiking, as one of the threats was being picked up by a homosexual.

The chance of a public display of affection from two dudes in 1961 Delaware is slim and none, also with this story having changing details it is obviously false.

Absolutely right. Back in that era virtually all sex deviates stayed in the closet.

I was born in California in 1961, in the late 60's early 70's I lived about a dozen miles from Palm Springs which today is considered a gay haven. The rainbow flag was first displayed in San Francisco another gay haven in the late 70's.

Palm Springs was not a gay haven when I lived in that area as the local authorities at the time did not want their business.

A half dozen miles closer to my home it was rumored that unincorporated at the time Cathedral City had gay bars.

I used to often ride my bike past Oil Can Harry's which was rumored to be a gay bar, and today on the internet you can confirm it was. I have no idea if
they just attracted customers by word of mouth. There was one place called The GAF, that is kind of obvious.

You can find out today many of those clubs had drag shows, yet in that time
period no one appeared in public that way. There weren't any Lori Lightfoot types trying hard to look like men. It was all behind closed doors. Those places with drag shows must of had locker rooms.

What you described above was pretty much the same scenario in the Big Apple where I grew up. Were there gay bars, drags shows, steam rooms, etc. back in the 60's and 70s? Indeed there were. BUT it was all kept low key. That kind of lifestyle was not shoved in the public's face the way it is today.

My dad was on duty as a CHP and stopped at the GAF to see if they had a pay phone in the early 70's. He said he never say anything like it and had no idea what the place was like. He said almost half the men were made up like women, but they did not come in the door that way.
