I'm going to shoot down pistol pete and here's why. Hear me out on this one.

There are mostly two types of nicknames, nicknames that were solely invented due to a first initial of the person's legal name, or something that rhymes with the person's name. If Pete Maravich was Joe maravich, he wouldn't have been pistol Joe, so i have to take the nickname with a grain of salt. Now, Big Baby Davis is an amazing nickname because if he wasn't Glen Davis and he was Joe Smith, he would still be "Big Baby".

So, when determining how good a nickname is, ask yourself if the person was joe smith would he still have the same exact nickname.

What about "The Juice" O.J. Simpson?

First two initials?

If his nickname was "On time" O.J. Simpson, ok, sure. But O.J. "The Juice"?
Classic.
