I'm pretty sure it's from the isolation. Irritability, can't concentrate, trouble sleeping, clingyness, less appetite, those kinds of things.

My kid must be an anomaly. He goes out regularly...and he LOVES the online-classroom experience...even though he knows that it pisses me off to no end. The only "irritation" that I've seen in him is the thought that colleges may open up again in the fall. I watch him play video games with his friends until 4 AM...and I have to remind myself that he is 21 years old. "You gotta have fun, dad"...he keeps on telling me.

FWIW:
I went to the CDC Stats page and reviewed the deaths by age group numbers. It appears they are from about 4/18 or 4/19.
With some 44,000+ deaths at that time 97% were for people 65+. About 60% were 75+.
https://data.cdc.gov/NCHS/Provisiona...nd-S/9bhg-hcku
Take that for what you will.

Here's the problem with those stats.
I'm over 65 with underlying conditions, but like many others here I'm not in my death bed.
Every day I go out and do a 4 mile walk and jog. I do it in cool weather and when it's a hundred degrees.
It hasn't killed me. In the last couple of weeks I helped my son replace all the doors in his house with
heavy solid wood and metal doors, I baby sit, I go to the track when it's open and I spend lots of money.
Being over 65 with underlying conditions does not make one useless, less valuable or unwanted.
Catching the virus might put an end to all my fun and usefulness.
Having said that, I have not changed anything in my life because of the virus.
Some things have been changed for me, like Planet Fitness and Sam Houston race track closing.
When they reopen I will go back to working out and betting along with anything else I need, or want to do.

My take is that there will be a lot of empty nursing home beds when this thing is over.

See, here is why you have no credibility. (among many topics)
YOU only care about your own ridiculous hatred of Trump whereas WE are talking about the welfare of the entire country. You could not area less about the country.
Many DEM governors ARE opening up the country, but YOU totally ignore that facts.
Big box stores are open and have been all long. Target, Walmant, Home Depot......so it IS possible to open and do it safely. Just like EVERYTHING else you stick your nose into, it all or nothing with you. WE say open sensible asap, YOU say open all or nothing....blah blah blah.
I thing living with COVID is far more pleasant than suffering YOU.
Loser.

Not easy to do - last election half of all the choices were DEMOCRATS!
I prefer to vote for Americans.

The whole nursing home debacle was totally Coumo's mishandling - he HAD the Hospital Ship and the Javitz Center but did not use them properly.

Some are pissed that small companies and businesses seem to have gotten shafted while the usual suspects swooped in with their hands out. Plenty of things to be pissed about, involving both Ds and Rs.
We probably didn't need to close everything down if we had mature adults who, like the swedes, were willing to act responsibly without being forced to do so. (They are also healthier than we are though, since they have good preventative health care, and their levels of diabetes and hypertension is not as high as ours. )
What is really a shame that so much of this is being worked from the aspect of polticizing a virus during an election year. Working people up to be "pissed" doesn't solve anything at all. I've been a member of many teams who had to deliver a project and while we all came at it from different places, we had a common goal----and a deadline, and were expected to have results to keep a paycheck.
Again, my advice to everyone is when you go to the polls, in November and every other time......find people who can work together, reach across the aisle, and arrive at workable solutions that will benefit the American people and ignore the "R" and "D" signs after their names.
Cuz if you pick the angry pissed off ones, all they will do is continue to argue with each other for political gain and power, instead of getting anything done for YOU.
This virus doesn't have a politcal party. Its an equal opportunist.
Trump needs to get along better with people, and so do many other politicians in both parties. they are supposed to be working for a common cause, not just the cause of their respective political parties. This is so wrong.

Ignore the bold I took this post a different direction than I was planning. I used to believe the bolded part, but now I believe they are all so corrupt and worthless there is nothing you can do but stay away from the ones that are trying to infringe on our rights and give too much power to government at the same time you have to be careful with the ones that want to give too little power to government.
The democrats are the one that can't help themselves with this crisis. Since mid March they have grabbed every ounce of control they can and some of them (eg California) have no intentions of letting it go without a fight. It seems obvious to me that they are trying to use this crises as a segue into pure socialism. It is so f***ing easy for them. Blow the crises up, the media does it's part on focusing on the number of deaths each day and interviews every sky is falling doctor and scientist they can find, sans any perspective. Then when some doctors come up with an alternate viewpoint and Youtube pulls the video. We have to shut down the economy to protect a surge, no we have to keep the economy shutdown to prevent deaths. Sooner or later the democrats are going to be "well this shutting down the economy thing is just the way things are going to have to be" But Gavin Newsom will be so slick in the way he words it, folks will not even see it coming. We will have this committee and that committee and we are going to provide x thousand meals for these starving folks and provide x,000 crappy jobs for this out of work industry and that out of work industry, meanwhile they sing praises to each other about what a great job they are doing to save everybody (when their stupid policies and decisions caused the harm to begin with). Then they pathetically go running to the federal government to save their broke asses. Let Google and Facebook bail them out . It is pure and complete bullshit. They are F***ing up the country we live in. As far as I am concerned if you don't see it, you are blind as a bat. It is so painfully obvious to me. This is not the country anyone wants to live in (maybe hcap and Allan do) but this is the world the democrats are trying to hand us. People are just missing the obvious. They are so terrorized by this virus that they have been blindly trusting the politicians and scientist and the media on this matter. Hopefully that will change.
That is just my perspective fwiw and I am not a conservative, although the demoncrats (heard that term on the radio the other day and must admit that is a perfect fit) sure have me walking to towards the right side of the room (pun intended).

I honestly don't understand why the Democrat politicians are held solely responsible for the economic ordeal that we are in. Were the Republican politicians, and President Trump, AGAINST the business shutdowns and the home barricades which have led us to where we now are??
