Usually I an drawn to the fastest last half shown by winners of the elims but in this case, after viewing the videos a couple times each, I am all over MY HERO RON (# 7).
Ron Burke enters three horses in this races. Yannick always get the best horse. The one winner from last week's elim with the easiest trip was MHR so Matt K gets on Cooperstown. In second place going first over against MHR was Burke's Yankee Bounty (# 1). If anyone thinks that Brett Miller is not leaving on Saturday should listen to me. Once Brett is on top, Yannick will wide heading for the lead. A little tuck and Yannick will be on the engine.
Have to admit that most front runners don't win the Adios so we just may see MHR get a seat behind Cooperstown who just might be first up before the half. In that scenario, Yannick will be shedding cover before the last and try to open up.
Having two other stable horses drawn inside of you gives a driver like Yannick a lot of options.
Ron Burke never won an Adios though as ass't trainer to his dad, they won in 2007 when they had four horses make the final which had 8 entered. May June Character won with the Burke's also having the place, Won The West with Pan Giovanni for third place. Ex paid $88.40, Tri $437.80. That was the last Adios ever held at the old facility. 2008 it moved to Pokie and then back to the Meadows in the new facility.
I know the quality of racing has declined for this event but at least it has some questions to be answered on Adios Day. What trip will My Hero Ron get while using his stablemates?
