Sorry to hear that
Edison, NJ has regular for $2.13
Lyndhurst, NJ (right by Meadowlands) has Delta gas for $2.05.
Won't be long until it cracks the $1.99 mark.

gas at the pumps has been running about a week behind the wholesale, you should see the 1.90's or less by Christmas.

west texas went to $55 the barrel. that is a serious number, if it doesn't hold you could easily be looking at $32 per barrel or less some time next year.
those places in New Jersey and Texas should see below $2.00 a gallon this week some time.

Just got back from a weekend trip to Oklahoma City, where I saw a few scattered stations selling for less than $2.00.

When I drive to work in the morning here in Connecticut I can see a service plaza from a bridge that crosses over the highway. Gas prices seem to have been falling every day for the past few weeks from the high $3.90s or low $4.00s to the low $3.00s and maybe below $3.00 today. ($2.98 is lowest price in my town.)
If I'm not mistaken CT has the highest gas taxes in the country.
Former Gov. Rendell of Pennsylvania (?) said he thinks new gas taxes should be added now that gasoline is so cheap. Spoken like a true politician.
God forbid middle class taxpayers would get a break and have extra money to spend.

Speaking in an interview with CNBC on Friday, former Pennsylvania Democratic Governor Ed Rendell believes the federal government should raise gas taxes with fuel prices low and continuing to fall. With gas prices about 50 cents less than they were a year ago, Governor Rendell believes now is the time to hike gas taxes to fund infrastructure projects.

This is in a small area of town, three or four stations, but lines are forming to get gas there. There is a new On Cue there and they are driving a price war. Gas is about $1.95 most places.
