Promising Two-Year-Old Fillies

Here are some two-year-old fillies which have made a favorable impression on the track so far this summer.

Ballet Diva

I'm surprised the winner of Sunday's Cassidy Stakes at GP
fails to get a mention. Two for two, and very speedy,
Stanley Gold has a very talented 2yo filly on his hands.

She probably hasn't beaten much, and may only be a sprinter,
but Ballet Diva is a runner. Interesting to see if she is shipped soon.

I should have definitely mentioned Ballet Diva. She broke her maiden as the even-money favorite from the one-hole to win going away. Then in the Cassidy Stakes, she beat the boys time by 1.49 seconds. She is out of stakes placed Dame Sylviogulhen, who was stakes placed, and her family traces back to the 1982 Eclipse Champion 2-Year-Old Roving Boy, who died tragically at three running at Santa Anita and is buried there.

we won the Birdonthewire Stakes that day with FRANCESCO BLUE. there is another that is probably going to start in about 5 weeks MARION SQUARE that was training much better than this guy in Ocala. my horse that got pinfired last week had been training with these horses as well and stayed right with them, but i will be running in New York Breds if he comes back as good as he was before we had to stop on him. he did start back jogging yesterday and ate
right up.

its a lot more fun when you have horses that are showing ability than the last couple of years when i had no chance to win a race.

Keep an eye on A Little Extra, sixth in yesterday's 3rd race at Belmont. She will probably get Lasix in her next start (she and the winner, Wonderment, did not have Lasix in that race).
