New food group?
We have fruits, vegetables, grains, daury.....but now we have plants
pretending to be meat!
No matter how much processing, how much food cooring to make it look like rea meat, it is still a plant and will never be real meat.
I draw the line, will never eat a transburger, a big tranny with cheese,
transloaf, or spaghetti with transballs.

You're definitely a prime candidate for at least 5 to 10 in a Reeducation Camp.

Man, there are some jokes in there……..especially that “big tranny with cheese” line
I’ll refrain for the sake of good taste

My marijuana connoisseur friend has been a vegetarian for the last 30 years.
I have pretty much sampled everything he has claimed is just like meat. How he would know "this is just like chicken" when he hasn't had chicken since the Redskins last won a Super Bowl is beyond me. The only vegetarian food I considered good and close to real food was take out Chinese that was probably 3x the price of normal Chinese, their Mongolian beef was pretty good. It was some place in La County.
Most of your vegetarian burgers and hot dogs you buy out are just drowned in condiments, that is where the flavor comes from. Tofu is nothing but a sponge, it just soaks up whatever it is placed in.
Anyone try the impossible burger at Burger King? That doesn't live up to the hype.

I have never heard someone using trans when describing vegetarian food.
Did you come up with that or do you need to credit someone?

50 years ago, a friend of mine did quite well with a vegetarian restaurant near campus. The downside was that people gave him grief when his family dined at a steakhouse.

I don't believe in wasting food, I am sure the turkey vultures will eat it. On the other hand it might not taste as good as road kill. I don't have a garbage disposal, that part of the remodel is a long way off. I live in the woods anything I figure something will eat gets left on the back deck.

The idea behind enjoying a healthful diet is to stick to fruits and vegetables without denying yourself the occasional meat entre. As long as one avoids greasy foods like fatty hamburgers or hot dogs, an occasional steak or pork chop or broiled chicken is fine.
Personally, I believe people put too much emphasis on what they eat instead of focusing on how much they eat and getting a reasonable amount of exercise.
I'm addicted to double cheeseburgers from Culvers. So, don't follow my example.

Eating fruits and vegetables is healthy for you, but once you start processing it and trying to make it look and taste like meat, it will have lost all of its true nutritional value. It is no different than a hot dog. Just something processed that is not natural. How many chemicals do you need to add to this plant matter to bind it together? Nothing wrong with eating natural foods, but once processed it is nothing more than crap. So just continue fooling yourself. Just like all these vegans who say they don’t eat meat because animals are slaughtered. The members of the animal kingdom, that are eradicated to ensure, that the crops are protected against animal pests during the growing process, from disrupting the soil, to spraying insecticides, those animals are OK to die, but raising cattle for a you to enjoy a steak, is not acceptable? Just a convenient double standard, otherwise every piece of fruit or vegetable, would be destroyed by pests.
